Floyd Mayweather hits at Conor McGregor for the UFC champion’s alleged rift with the Irish cartel.
One of the biggest newsmakers surrounding Conor McGregor in 2017 was his alleged conflict with the Irish Kinahan cartel. In late November, “The Notorious reportedly punched a man in a Dublin club, who happened to be an associate of the cartel.
Further reports have claimed that McGregor’s life was in danger, and was advised by a local crime reporter to leave town. Conor’s father, Tony, however, dismissed these reports, saying he has nothing to be fearful about since they are a “law-abiding family.
The issue has since died down, but McGregor’s last opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr. decided to once again bring it up.
I already fucked you up in 2017 now they about to fuck you up in 2018. You’re about to start your new year off with a bang ⚰ pic.twitter.com/upaRfLbgvJ

Not to be outdone, the UFC lightweight champion responded in trademark Conor McGregor fashion.
I am the cartel.

From their end, the UFC also shrugged off these reports. According to UFC president Dana White, the issue would be “off-the-charts-crazy if it was true but is confident that the company would be able to work around it, if necessary.
